    69 PO1or PO2 hubcaps?

what is the difference in the 2 options? im looking for the thin spoked caps that have the flags in the center. will they fit on ralley wheels? or what wheel was used if they wont fit? would be neat if you could switch back and forth.
    thanks, dick

PO1 is for '68 and PO2 is for '69. Minor cosmetic difference in hubcap. The '69-72 cap is the same. You can alternate between ralleys with trim rings and ralleys with full caps. Same wheel.

If you do not already have your PO2's, be ready for some serious "sticker shock" for a real nice set.

Dick, be careful of PO2's on ebay. Several times I have seen them advertised as such when they are really hubcaps from a (?) Monte Carlo or something else. The PO2's have a raised center hub that has a very definite ridge, whereas the PO2-wanna-bes have a very small lip. I won't venture a guess as to how high the ridge is but it is easily seen in photos. If the photos on ebay show only a view from straight above the hubcaps, insist and a side shot to see the ridge.

Dick the 68 P01 the turbine fins where they meet the center cap come to a point and the center cap is slightly smaller then the center of the turbine cover. The P02 the turbine fins are square where they meet the cap and the center cap is slightly larger then the center of the cover. There are 3 or 4 different center caps some are flat I beleave Impala, slightly raised center about 3/4 inch and the corvette about 1 1/4 inches. Also there are 14 inch version of this cover but the outer ring of the cover has a raised ridge about a 1/2 inch from the edge this is very similar to the Buick Riviera 15 inch cover that has a gold hue and an large R in the center cap. Any of the 15 inch turbine cover from chevy will work on the corvette they are all the same it is the center cap that mkes the difference. Paragon I think reproduces the center cap but the size may be incorrect so if you find a very good condtion set from a non corvette you ca replace the center caps to make it correct. This could save you some money. I also have 5 driver covers and 2 NOS PO2 never mounted For Sale. Paul#18046

Dick I would only buy used PO2's in person with a hands on inspection. I bought some on E-Bay and the Driveline and asked if they had hit the curb and all the questions but when I recived them they were pretty bad. Sold 10 of them at Carlisle for $90. that I payed more than twice that for. I was tired of hauling the heavy load. Beware their are more junk PO2's out their than good ones! Lyle

Dick, I guess $250. would have been a good price if the PO1/2 caps were in good to excellent condition. I sold a set of NOS, in- the- box PO1's about 12 yrs ago at a swap meet for $80., thought I'd made a killing!
