Early 65 side exaust

I would really like to put side exaust on my 65 Coupe. Is there any modification I have to do to the car that will show if I go back to original. Also would there likley be a point deduction for a early 65 with repo side exaust?

point deduyction for outside exh on early(how early inyour case?) is significant. seem to recall about 88 out of 4500 pts. judges very good at spotting non-orig outside exh cars converted. radios useless with the outside exh. mike

My car's build date is Nov 9 1964. Did cars that early have that option?

Not available til Feb-March timeframe, about the same time as big bolck. You have to cut the front ant rear body to clear the pipes, and from a judging standpoint, you lose all points for exhaust, all points for rocker moldings, all point for rear exhaust outlets, and probably some things I haven't thought of, originality AND condition since you won't get the 10% originality to qualify for condition. If you having the car judged, Don't do it.

You also have to cut off the original rocker mounting clips and can never go back. Don't do it.
