    C1 Front Cross Member

Does anyone know if the underneath where the two holes are on the cross member---is it tapered to the holes or is it flat?

    Thanks,

    Dan

The two drain holes are tapered, at least on a '57. PT

dan , pat and justin: think the drain holes you guys are referring to are in fact access holes for the 49 to 52 chevy pass car 6 cyl engine mounts.you'll recall the 53 to 62 vettes used a front X-member common to the 49 to 54 chevy pass cars. mike

Mike, the drain holes I am referring to are tapered funnels, like in a measuring cup. I believe there are also threaded holes directly above, on the top of the crossmember as well. PT

I may be confused with the original question but I an referring to the two holes on the underneath side of the crossmember..the two facing the road. They are not flat holes but tapered out towards the bottom of the car or road. Hey Mike, did the LT5 win the "Willys" coice award?
