61 Grille Re & Re Procedure

I'm going to replace my after market grille with a new OEM grille.
Corvette manual instructions seem a little simplistic.
Can't quite tell how much of the bumper guards, bumper overriders and horns that need to be removed.
Anybody having experience with this job, I would be grateful for any tips or suggestions on how to do it successfully, i.e., without destroying any of my body work or trim.
    Thanks.

I just installed my 62 front grille. All I did was remove the passenger side horn and snuck it in in front of the radiator. Whoops!! I had my hood off. Not sure how much different that will make it.

      Norm...

Best take the hood off, Removal & installing the grille will be much easier. On a '61 grille the horns do not need to be removed, using the grille bumper slot will allow you to slip the grille in place.
