This is a repeat of a post that had no response last week. My 60 has a 58 frame and although I don't yet have a rear sway bar I'd like to weld on the brackets before I set the body on the frame. I will need a template or some fairly accurate dimensions to do this right. I posted this request about a year ago and a kind person provided some initial help but I got sidetracked and now I will have to start from scratch. ALSO: I'd be interested to know what other variations my 58 frame may have from an original 60. So far I've added the frame brackets for the radius rods, removed brackets for the outside mounted axle bumpers because the 60's bumpers screw directly to the underside of the frame and opened the notch for the fuel line through the right front body mount extension about 1/4" to allow for the outside mounted fuel line in 1960. I'm wondering if the rear flex brake line bracked will have to be relocated to accomodate the sway bar brackets.

Re: 1960 rear sway bar bracket question-Again
Wayne...
I recommend you install the rear stabilizer bar to the shock plate, preassemble the bracket with the bushing retainer and move the bar into position were the brackets can be located on the frame rail. Mark or spot weld this location, remove and weld the brackets on. the bracket sets at a slight angle on the frame rail. There should be no interference with the brake line. Interested to know what you plan for the stamped vin number on the frame.- Top

Re: 1960 rear sway bar bracket question-Again
Dennis, The problem with your method is that I don't have a sway bar. I will locate one someday but for now I just want to prepare the frame so I don't have to weld with the body attached. As far as the vin number goes, the frame is somewhat pitted and the stamping is very very very hard to read. The car will be a driver but I do want it to look correct in every possible way.
