Has anyone removed & installed a windshield without removing the frame from the car? Reading a article on www.glasslinks.com and wonder if anyone has accomplished this feat?

You did not post a link to the article, and I searhed for a while and did not find it. I will tell you that many glass shops did in fact change the windshield on C1 Corvettes without removing the frame, and this action is almost completely responsible for all the broken windshield post tabs on Corvettes! These tabs do not break on their own, but are usually the result of the posts being pulled on while removing the glass. I would love to read the article, please post the link to it. I would never consider doing this, as the original posts are way too valuable to risk breaking them. Pulling the frame just is not that much work! The glass shops just screwed the frame back together once they broke the tabs, and the customer was not even aware the tabs were broken.

I found the article, and thier procedure is almost guaranteed to break the post tabs!
