Ok guys, the hunt continues. Can you double-check my findings please? Here goes.
The car is a '67 convertible, build sequence 100183 (aroundSept 6th, 1966).
WINDSHIELD: JN AS1 Shaded E-Z-Eye
DRIVER'S VENT: GA AS2 Safety Plate
DRIVER'S WINDOW: GA AS2 Safety Plate
PASS. VENT: YA (yup, that's a letter "y") AS2 Soft Ray
PASS. WINDOW: IA AS2 Safety Plate
My dad bought the car in 1973. He THINKS it was in an accident on the nose because of the following observations:
1. Missing bolts/screws on radiator
2. Faded paint on front fenders, nose, and hood at DIFFERENT rates (looks like three shades of red)
3. Passenger side headlight motor doesn't bring the module all the way around.
I'm starting to agree with him because it looks like the date code on the windshield shows a 1971 replacement. That would have been prior to him owning the car. Also, the passenger side vent window shows a different STYLE of glass (Soft Ray) as opposed to the Safety Plate of the other three. And the date code on the passenger side (October 1966) is after the car was assembled (Sept 1966). To me, all this info points to a front end / passenger side collision sometime around 1970-1971.
What do you guys think?
Chris
