I installed the reproduction belts from Quanta. The power steering belt is noisy even when tightened to specs. Has anyone found a product to apply to the belt to eliminate squeeking. I don't want to use something that might end up all over the engine compartment.

Re: SQUEEKING FAN BELT REMEDY
I'm not sure, but it is an "exact repro" from Quanta, so I would like to believe it fits correctly. It doesn't squeek until the wheel is turned, but goes away after driving for a couple minutes or so. The pulley is original, newly painted and clean.- Top

Re: SQUEEKING FAN BELT REMEDY
Had the same problem with my 66 BB with PS and AC. Quanta belts looks great and have the right markings but when it comes time to perform they take a dive. When cycled a few times and heated up they stretch and become worthless for a driver. Since there is only limited adjustment with the power steering and none with the crankshaft to water pump, you must find a suitable belt other than the numbers game.
