I just checked my window codes against the TIM&JG. I have a discrepancy with the rear window (coupe). The Manual states the model #M51. Mine is #M53. The date code is 1A on my window where the remaining side windows are all TA. I looked twice to make sure I was reading them correctly and they are clear.
My dilemma is that I'm going to purchase new glass and want to use the original codes, but also don't want a hassle from the window judges.
My existing windshield is a "coded" replacement (circa 1983) with a date of LZ. I need to replace it, as it is starting to cloud up on the edges. Should I make all window dates the same TA? Its an April 67 build car.
