    Midyear Guillotine Exhaust Clamp

What is the diffenence between the "original" Guillotine exhaust pipe clamps and the current (Original style) reproductions? Thanks

    Re: Midyear Guillotine Exhaust Clamp

Larry, The originals were 5/16" thread and the repops are 3/8" thread. Another item is the flattened area of the rod that clamps the pipe is omitted. General appearance of the sheet metal is good except for larger loops for the 3/8" rod and any stampings were omitted also. The flange nuts are correct configuration but, again wrong thread size. Try Paragon, the new Guillotine's are advertised as 5/16 thread with the flattened rod. I have not seen them. The original exhaust system does not have a clamp just forward of the muffler, this should be all one pipe to the tranny cross over. 2 1/2" clamp at x-over and 2" at tips on muffler.
