I have a 1980 vette undergoing some bodywork. One of the problems is the antenna hole was opened up to 1 3/8 inch diameter at some point. It is a power antenna equipped car with it all missing when I got it. I was informed that the hole should only be roughly 3/4 inch diameter. If this is right (?) can anyone give me advice on how to properly decrease the hole size. I am comfortable with FUSOR bonding products and am capable with fillers. I am just concerned about the stress the antenna will place on the repair, I don't want it to crack on me later. Thanks in advance.

Quite easy......
Lay glass one the underside, you will have to remove the tire carrier to gain access, and maybe the gas tank as well. make sure you squeeze out the excess resin. Cover the whole hole, you can make the correct size later. When the fiber has cured, you have two options, to fill the hole from top...use a product called Dura Glass, a filler w/fiber strands, or cut small chunks of glass and fiber matt and fill it that way. Ising Dura Glass is eaier, is ultra strong and wont crack.
I would make sure that the hole is larger than normab before doing any work.
