    Carb Rebuild

Hi to all the experts. Can anyone help me with a recomendation for someone to rebuild my original Holley carb for my 65- 365 horse small block. I am having a rich problem and cannot get it adjusted out. I am getting carbon fouling of cylinders 1,4,and 7. Also I don't get full kick from engine when I floor it. Thanks in advance for any information. By the way I should have mentioned that I live in southern Missouri, so any recomendation close to St Louis would be helpfull.

You are so in luck! Bob Kunz is right there in St. Louis-

He did a stellar job on the Carter 3269S I sent him.

Others will probably respond and vouch for Bob, he's a great guy.

FWIW, I don't know what I'm talking about here, but selective carbon fouling (especially on cylinders from both banks) sounds like it could be plugs/ignition issues. Have you ruled that out?

Thanks Rob. I have heard good things about Bob. I know exactly where his shop is now that you gave me the address. Yes I have checked the ignition system. I am also considering going to the electronic conversion along with the carb rebuild. I have checked the coil, distributer shaft for wobble, cap, and replaced all the plug wires with no improvement. I don't think it is ignition related because I get a strong rich smell after running the car on a trip once I shut it off.
