    Check it out: 2491334200

CORVETTE DIST PLATE,SHIELD,POINTS - somebody paid $129 for the dist. base plate, used points, and 1/2 of the RFI shield. Can you say "moron"?

    Re: More eBay madness

Obviously more than "ONE" moron! Another moron had to bid the eventual winner up to the winning bid.

I can't tell you how much of that stuff I have thrown in the trash. I guess "I" am the real moron, for throwing all that money in the trash.

      BEWARE!

When you're bidding on e bay, there's nothing to stop a friend of the seller from bidding against you to drive up the price! If by accident the friend "wins" the auction, the seller contacts you a few days later saying the "winner" backed out and to see if you want to buy the item anyway (for full price of course!).

Always check who's bidding against you. I have gotten to know the names of the people who regularly bid on the same stuff I do.

        Re: BEWARE!

'Shill' bidding is against eBay rules. If see a pattern (same seller and same winning bidder reported to be 'backing out'), then file a complaint with eBay. Provided you give them the appropriate documentation, eBay WILL take action and that includes (1) a warning, (2) temporary suspension of eBay priviledges to the seller and his shill, (3) permanent suspension of the offending parties.

Only if you have a lawyer writing to eBay

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. We had one so blatant they used the same email address and phone number in their ads, yet eBay said they were not related.

I have yet to see eBay do anything to anyone I have dealt with.

            Re: BEWARE!

I bought an original big block hood on e bay then the seller took my money and never sent the hood. The only thing e bay did was send me a check for $175 - that's the max of their guarantee/insurance! I filed complaints with the police, state prosecutors, and postal inspector but nothing ever came of it.

            Be careful!

              Re: BEWARE!

I have had good luck dealing with sellers who did not send merchandise by contacting the local police in the area of the seller directly. A visit from a local cop can do wonders in some cases.
