Ah, Yes...No Wonder I Couldn't Place It...
Terry,
We don't have ice dam problems down here; no snow, no ice, no problems.
I also have seen that stuff installed on TV. I believe it is like rolled polymer sheet with peel-off paper protecting extreme stickyiness on both sides. I would probably have to drive all the way to Oklahoma to find it though. Next time one of you Midwesterners do your roof, why don't you just mail me down a piece in an 9 X 12 manila envelope; that should be enough to do three cars.
Die-cut rubber with adhesive on both sides...hmmmm...sounds like the perfect product for Dr. Rebuild's catalog.
Thanks for your help, Terry.

Probably because they were not there in 68.
Perhaps the emblems were attached with adhesive because the Stingray emblems were not on the 68. The original tooling would not have holes drilled because the emblems were not on the car in 68. It probably was easier to just stick the emblems on with adhesive than rework the tooling to add holes to the panels for the speednuts.- Top

Re: 'Stingray' Emblem Terry I believe you are Righ
I found a NOS emblem at a dealers going out of business sale, the paint job on it is different than the repos, quality is bad, I will try to find the part# on the box if I can find it.
