    Unique '63 Paint Job

    Hi all -

Now, how's this for an interesting paint job?

Seriously, it's foliage time here in New England, and this is what I see when I open the garage door and go to climb into the '63.

A little diversion from the usual tech questions and complaints about eBay!

    Enjoy.

    Pete

That is the (in)famous, George Barris "Acid Trip" paint job. By golly, your car is worth well into six figures. Why not try to peddle it on ebay?

I had one like that once. Problem is not enough stripper. Apply more, work faster, get it all off this time.

Pete that is beautiful and reminds me of one of the things I love most about black paint. It reflects everything with such true to life color you think it's a mirror.

We do not have the trees like you do in New England but one of these days when my own black 63 is done, I'll pop the hood and catch one of our famous Kansas sunsets in the reflection to return the favor.

        Thanks for the pic...

It kinda looks like you were following too closely to the Papa Gino's pizza truck with its rear door open....

          PS, great pic.

            Mike,

If you're seeing colors like that, I think you used too much stripper!

No, there were far too many layers of paint!
