    C2 MUNICIE?

    I recently bought a parts/project 63 convt. Along with various parts, there is a Muncie 4sp that I have been unable to determine its application. Can anyone tell me if it is for a C2, and more precisely, a 63? The main case has a casting #3851325 and tail #3846429 with #824P224405 stamped on the rear of the main case and #P0424 stamped at the cover plate.

      The combination of main case and tailshafts that you have were used for 1964 and early 1965 Muncies. If the "P" you show in the VIN sequence is actually and "R", then it was installed in a full size 1964 passenger car built at the Arlington, TX assembly plant.

          Joe,
          If that Muncie was from a full size passenger car in 1964, it wouldn't have the "824" stamped in front of the plant letter. Perhaps another model?
