    67 Inside Day/Night Mirror

I have an early 67 convertible (Nov 2,1966) with the long handle. Do i have the wrong type, should it be the short square handle instead.

    Re: 67 Inside Day/Night Mirror

    Don,
My Dec. 19th, 1966 built coupe has the original mirror with the small grey/white handle. It says 'Made in' on one side and 'USA' on the other of the small handle. It also says 'guide' and then below 'Glare-Proof' on the top. Hope this helps!

      This is covered....

in the 1967 NCRS Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide book. Your copy should tell you (Interior, Section 4, Windshield Trim Area) that cars up to APPROXIMATELY VIN 2500 used the 'teardrop' style day/nite mirror knob that was from the '64-66 era while cars after this approximate change point used the '67 style D/N mirror knob with it's L-shaped style.
