    1970 BB radiator info

I am having problems determining if my radiator is correct or not. The car is a 1970 BB, Manual with AC.

The paint is scratched in places revealing a copper radiator, there is a crimped metal tag with the letters MK9 on it. I have not been able to find a part number. There is also another crimped on peice of metal a bit rusted that I think held a hose...probably an overflow hose ?? One of the side tanks has HARRISON embossed on it.

I have checked the archives and judging guide but have not been able to get clear enough info to set me at ease. The radiator is out of the car.

If it not correct I will need to get one. Does anyone know someplace I can get one or a good repro.

    Thanks
    Kurt

From your description you have the correct radiator. Harrison with broadcast code.

DeWitt's manufacturers a correct reproduction core or radiator, if you should need either.

Does your radiator use an integral filler or does it have an external supply tank? In your case, the external supply tank would be a cylindrical brass unit (painted black).

It has hoses that go to a external tank...but I have not been able to find the brass tank. I have taken over this restoration from someone else who doesnt have the time, and many parts are in boxes.

Critical question: does the radiator that you have with the "MK9" tag have an integral filler neck on the right side tank OR does it have a 3/8" hose nipple on the right side tank?
