    tri-power carb question

I have a 435hp with the correct block but no carbs. If the engine cast date is 11-18-66, and the assembley date is 1-11-67. Would carbs with a date of the 1st and 3rd of November 1966 work for this car? I believe that they would but I wanted to make sure before I bought them. As far as engine components, they all should be before the assembley date, I know that, but does it matter if it is before or after the cast date on the engine?

Yep, they'll work just fine. *NM*

      Jeremy -

The block casting date isn't much of a reference for anything, except it needs to be prior to the engine assembly date stamped on the pad. Engine plant-installed parts need to pre-date the stamp pad date, and St. Louis-installed parts need to pre-date the car's final assembly date.
