Recently bought a Holley "trick kit" (guess who is getting tricked?)for my 2818-1 carb (64-65 350/365hp). It came with about 10 pairs of needle/seats, each of which was marked with a code letter, and nothing else.
In a moment of misplaced optimism, I referred to the Holley website to find the magic conversion table to get me to the required .097" orifice size. There is a wealth of information housed there, but no such table.
So I called Holley and the service rep agreed that such a table would be neat, but he was not aware of it's existence. But, he did have some crib notes in his personal catalogue which he shared with me. So I thought I'd document it here for the archives.
Code Letter Orifice
D .097" (correct for the 2818-1)
J .097 steel tip(?)
G .101
H .110
N .120
A .097 alcohol
C .110 "
F .120 "
M .130 "
P .150 "
If this saves just one member the aggravation/time that I experienced, I'm happy.
Mike
