    Holley repair......

One of the holes for the accellerator pump is stripped. Is this repairable? Do they make a helicoil this small/size?
The carb is a matching number carb and real hard to find, but it leaks too much to start the car..............
    Thanks in advance

Yes the do make a helicoil small enough for the screw. However I believe that I would try Permatex's striped thread repair kit. Follow the instructions closely and it should resolve your problem with a lot less work than a helicoil

You're on the highway to Hell

The small Helicoil kits are relatively expensive. You will be out about $45 plus the cost of a drill bit that isn't included (anymore). You'll then have to modify the tap in the kit because it's tapered and won't thread far enough into such a short screw hole.

I wouldn't even try an epoxy thread repair. Remember, you want this carburetor screw to keep the gasket sealed for a long time under tough conditions.

Good used, new, and NOS primary bowls are fairly easy to find for all the GM assembly line Holley carburetors. Most are priced about the same as a Helicoil kit. I would tell you where to find a new bowl if I could only guess which year Corvette or Holley carburetor you're repairing. Your profile is... uh... inscrutable.

        New replacement bowl

Holley still offers a new primary bowl for the List 6239 4-barrel with a center hung float under part #134-103. I normally buy Holley parts mail order from Jeg's. But, depending on where you live, you may have a local source that is more convenient for you.

This new replacement part may have a slightly different casting shape and gold color from your original part. The little numbers cast into the sides may be different too.
