    Lead additives - C2

I am a proud new owner of a 66 coupe with a L-79 350 HP engine. Is there any benefit to using a lead additive in a 66 L-79 engine ?

      Ken,

Congrats on your new purchase. I believe the general consensus among the experts (I'm not) here on this board is that lead additives really aren't worth the hassle and/or $$.

You will find advise here from the world most renoun authorites on these cars.

      Welcome!

My original 68 L79 runs just fine on 93 pump gas and I have initial timing at 10 degrees BTDC.
