Tank Sticker / Broadcast Sheet / Order Copy
It is said in "Noland Adams Technical Guide," second edition 1988, that beginning on - or shortly after - the start of 1967 Corvette production in September 1966, a copy of the broadcast sheet was glued on top of the gas tank. Now for my question, does anyone know the earliest date that a broadcast sheet was applied to a gas tank? My 67, with a build date of December 6th, was bought from the original owner in 74, unmolested, and with most paper work including a dealer broadcast sheet for the car, showing all options and their different prices. Although I knew by the paper work that the car and its options were all original, I went after the tank sticker "broadcast sheet or Corvette Order Copy" and there was no sign of one ever being put on the tank and no glue smudges either. I also confirmed that the tank had never been changed. Any help to a question that has been bugging me for quite some time, will be greatly appreciated.- Top

Re: Tank Sticker / Broadcast Sheet / Order Copy
For what it's worth, my '67 roadster has a build date of Dec 8th and had the tank sticker. Since we are talking about an assembly line process, and invisible/unknown to the average purchaser back then, I would think that they may have been occasionally "overlooked"???- Top
