If I am replacing pressure plate, clutch disc, and throw out bearing and still using the stock flywheel, can I go to a 11 inch setup with NO problem.

Dave-----
I've heard different things on this, but I now think that the 11" pressure plate will fit within a 57-62 Corvette bellhousing. However, although the 57-62 flywheel is a 14" flywheel, it is not drilled and tapped to accept an 11" clutch pressure plate assembly. In my opinion, the holes would be hard to add. These are a special configuration hole (unthreaded counterbore preceding threads) and, most importantly, the holes have to be absolutely precision drilled as to location. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

You have to use the flywheel for the big clutch . The 57s had the large wheel but were drilled for the small clutch. I'm not sure if the C-1s ever had the 11 inch clutch. I have used the 11 inch clutch and flywheel in the old cast iron bellhousings.
