C2 Flywheel for 66

I have been informed the flywheel for 66 327/300 4-speed needs to be replaced. Finding the correct part has become difficult and I was wondering what other makes/models or years used the same flywheel that would work for my application.

not a rare piece. did ya try chevy? may still be available. if not, try driveline. good luck, mike

The last available flywheel for 63-68 Corvette small block applications was discontinued about a year ago. The same flywheel was used on most 1963-1975 Chevrolet 6 cylinder applications, so there should be plenty of them out there. The most common casting number that you're looking for is 3791021.

I'm surprised, though, that this flyuwheel wouldn't be available in the aftermarket, especially considering the wide 6 cylinder application. You might try calling Northern Auto Parts. See if they can cross-reference either the above number or 3791022. A NEW flywheel would be the best thing if you can find one.

Thanks for the responses. I have found in the after market but wasn't expecting to take out a second mortgage. Wishfull thinking I guess. I'll try the the places and numbers that were provided.
