    C2 Dash Harness

I purchased and installed a new repro dash harness and fastened the harness to the back of the cluster. The harness has two plastic clips that lock into two holes near the top center. This requires that the harness be routed below the two warning light sockets and above the hi beam indicator light socket. The harness being new is stiff and appears to be fatter than the original harness. Consequently, the harness is putting excessive side pressure on the warning light sockets and the hi beam indicator light socket and causing the bulbs in the sockets to pop loose. Any ideas about how to flatten the harness or any other ideas how to relieve the side pressure that it is causing?

      The Same Problem

Dave, I had the same problem with mine. Seemed like tha harness was 1/4 in to short in that area. I squeezed the area where it was touching the sockets and put a little bend in it to go just below them and above the high beam. Used a pair of pliers between a rag so as not to damage the tape. Heat as Clem suggested would make this easier.Mike
