Anyone know about these two dealerships with the same address in Philadelphia. I have a protect o plate pamphlet with the following: Roger Penske Chevrolet, Inc., 4838 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19139. It also has a hand written dealer code of 15 93 with a date next to it of 3/21/69. I checked the dealer code search here and someone has listed David Penske Chevrolet with the same address but a different dealer code of 15 486 and they state they have gotten the information from an official Chevrolet Philadelphia Zone Directory for 1975.

Anyone know if Roger sold this dealership to David somewhere after 1969 and the dealership was given a new code? And if so, anyone have an idea of what year? Just trying to do some history research on my car. Thanks for the help!

This may sound silly, but feel free to call them. I looked into buying David's personal demo 2002 Corvette 2 years ago, and they were nice to talk to. He works at the dealership (or at least did then).

Also, I believe that numbers were jumbled around many years ago, so even if ownership is the same the dealer number and zone might not be.
