    67 Radio side panel

Any comments on repairing a broken ear off the dash that the radio side panel mounts to ? The one that's broken is the top ear next to the radio towards the front of dash. Have tried glue but does not last. Thanks for your help

Being it is fiberglass, you can fiberglass it all back together. However, you need to do a normal fiberglass repair, in that you bevel the edges and cut down the level some to allow an overlapping layer to be built on both sides to hold the piece.

    Messy in an interior.

A cheap and dirty method would be to sand behind the dash, do the same with the broken piece, and then create a flat piece of fiberglass to go behind both. Let the piece set a couple of minutes to prevent too much runniness (tech term) and press it behind both using wax paper to prevent your clamp from sticking until it sets at about 12-15 minutes.

Trim and sand smooth by hand.

      Don,
I was able to repair several places on my fiberglass tire tub with a 3M product called Structual Adhesive Tube Kit Part No. 08101. As you might expect, it is a two part component system. Easy to use, sand, and finish.

I purchased it from my local PPG and 3M distributor.

      Good luck,
      Gene

Ive used PC7 epoxy paste for such areas. Long working time, while it can be shaped and smoothed with just rubbing alcohol. (If you want quicker drying time put a light on it) Incredible adhesion, easy to sand, drill, etc. Available at True Value.
