    67 Build Date (2)

I have a 67 BB Coupe that I want to know a build date for. Can anyone help me determine when this car was built? It is car 114092. Thanks in advance for your help.

Check the date code on the trim plate under the glove box. It will be in the upper left hand corner. Something like:

    D3
    Style 437 A5091 Body
    Trim STD 977 Paint

Get those and that will get you close.

      Mike,

Thanks I guess I should have listed those as well. My problem is that I have no source for the dates. I have just recently gottten into the 67's (been working on my 72 LT-1 for about 3 years).

      Here are my codes:

      Style H17
      Trim 67 437

      450 CA
      Body S4391
      Paint 976AA

From your VIN. number it would seem your car was assembled on or around Monday, March 20th, 1967....just 14 days before mine.....enjoy.

          Rick,

I appreciate it. The reason I am asking is that all the numbers I can find confirm that date but the protco-plate is dated 1-26-67. That would be impossible. A few guys here have seen that before and say that sometimes the Dealership used the order date. The dealership probably just made a mistake since everything else matches and if someone was going to fake a car (and do it well)they would not leave an incorrect protecto-plate to give it away. Anyway thanks for your input.

Trim tag numbers and VIN line up nicely - body built Friday the 17th, came off the line on Monday the 20th. When you say P-O-P date of 1/27, are you talking about the date on the Dymo tape, or the written delivery date on the warranty folder? The P-O-P was made and applied to the folder at St. Louis.

Yes I am talking about the written delivery date and the Dymo tape on the P-O-P.
