    C1 1954 Tach Drive/Tacho ratio of revolutions

I am having my tachometer serviced in Australia and the repairer has not seen a Corvette tacho of this vintage before, although he is quite confident he can do the work satisfactorily he does not have the following information.
Would some one know the ratio of revolutions between the distributor tach drive and the reading on the tachometer?
If any one can help it would be greatly appreciated it will save me from having to send it off to the States.

    Thanks

ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL 6cyl Vettes had a tach drive distributor!
The distributor turns 1/2 the speed of the crank (same rpm as the cam) and the tach drive turns the same rpm as the dist shaft. Thus, the tach drive turns 1 rev for every 2 revs of the crank.

Thanks for setting me straight Mike. If I had been more curious during my high school days I would know this. A man owned a 53 or 54 Corvette that I would rarely out of his garage, this was 62-65. He also owned a 58 T-Bird that rarely saw daylight. Of all those years I only saw the Corvette go down the road once that I remember. At one time I lived across the street from him. Anyway I left the area in 66. The man died and the cars were auctioned off in an estate sale. The Corvette would of been one pure example of a unrestored and excellent car. The story was that it was his son's Corvette and he was waiting for him to come home from the war in Korea.
