68 Seat Belt Guide & Reinforcement

Does anyone know if the seat belt guide and reinforcement for the 68 lap belt is being reproduced? These are NOT the underbody reinforcements. From the AIM, it looks like the female belt slides through the guide and "appears" between the seat and the door sill. The part numbers from the AIM are:

    Guide: 3943691-2 (superceding 3926311-2)
    Reinf: 3943693-4

    As always, thanks.

It is not being reproduced and it is one year only. Try to find them in the Southwest because they are typically badly rusted. Regards, Terry

      Terry,

That's what I thought would be the answer. Was the 69 female seat belt mounted in the same location? And if so, what did it use as the equivilent of the guide and reinforcement? Any good businesses in the SW that you know of? As alway, thanks.

The 69 and later will not work. There may be some early 69 cars that were the same but I don't know the details. I wouldn't try to modify it. You could look up America's Finest Corvette, ask for Mike and tell him Terry sent you. He will have them. Find him on the internet. Terry

may hve a couple email me , you are talking about the piece that bolts to the reinforcement and the belt goes under, as well it has a rubber flange as to not harm the belt?

Kevin I have a original owner 68. I believe what you are referencing are the rubber/plastic guide that is a few inches long and is sewn into the carpet between the seat and the door sill and the seat belt comes from under the seat thrjough this guide. Wish I had a digital camera I would post a picture of them for you. I replaced the carpeting in my 68 about 18 years ago and removed and saved my original guides for later.
