Any vendor suggestions for a left and right original water diverter? These mount on the inner door striker pillar and rivets to the lower pillar. I understand 74-77 would fit this 70, but this is an all original, numbers matching Vette. Thank you for your time.

I'm confused...how can the car be ALL original if you're looking for door jamb water diverters? Sounds like there's at least two factory original pieces that aren't there....
The only thing you'll find in the parts catalogs is the later era service replacement diverters (considered useable substitutes by GM). To get the real McCoy items, you'll probably have to source them from a Corvette scrap yard. Search the archieves and you'll find serveral references to places that specialize in parting out wrecked Corvettes.... -

Isaly, I would try The Corvette Image (800-550-1200). They specialize in original style press molded body panels. If they don't sell these diverters, they can probably fabricate them out of fiberglass if you supply a sketch. Otherwise, I think you're going to be out of luck. There has never been any demand for these divertors; yours may be their first request.Comment
