67 C2 Coupe rear window spacers

I am replacing my rear window. The AIM calls out 2 different rubber spacers.
They are items 6 and 9.

Does the spacer that is about 1/4 in square x 1 in long with the groove go around the edge of the glass with the glass sitting in the groove? possibly item 9.

There is also a flat style spacer about 1/8 in thick. Does this go under the glass to raise the glass away from the body? Possibly item 6.

steve: don't think either rubber spacer went between underside of glass and the vette body's window opening. think the butyl seal , in rope form, is what elevate the glass in a uniform manner off thebody. use the spacers to center the glass in the opening. good luck, mike

Thanks Mike. I still don't understand why they, GM, call for 2 different "spacers" with different shapes placed at specific locations around the window per the AIM. Some years ago my window was reinstalled by a "professional" and the chrome never fit worth a rip after that. I'm trying to correct that now.

Is the groove in the spacer there for the glass to sit in?
