    C2 Mufflers

I need to replace the muffers on my '66 big block. I just need to replace the mufflers only as the rest of the exhaust is orginal. Zip has them for $58.00 a piece. Any other suggestion as to mufflers only?

if the exhaust system is original, you'll have to cut the intermediate pipes off the mufflers. if you want as original as possible, try to find a pair of NORS GM off road muffler/intermediate pipe assemblies. if you anren't into originality, weld ZIP's mufflers on your existing intermediate pipes. good luck, mike

As original as I remember your car being, I would opt for finding a set of NOS off road GM mufflers. There still should be a few sets out there. The ZIP mufflers are the "turbo" style mufflers.
