I own a '61 "driver". Upon inspecting the transmission case I noticed that it is a T-10 D dated 1963. I know that the C is correct for the car and I believe that the "D" was offered in 1963 only.
What are the differences between the units? Somewhere I read that the front bearing is heavier in the D. Is there anything else? I am trying to learn as much as possible as it started popping out of second gear and I will rebuild it this winter. I want to do it right the first time and only once.
Is the D any more desireable or valueable than the more common C?
Thanks,
Mike
