    C1Weatherstripping

Searching for logo weatherstripping with the diamond with the "S" and have been told by a seller that it runs $750. Is there anybody out there that is remanufacturing this stripping at a less cost?

    Re: C1Weatherstripping

years ago i bought repo weatherstrip which lacked the mfgr logo, took a scalpel, removed the S from the worn out original w//s, then cut out an appropriate sized chunck from the repo and glued the used S in place with black 3-M weatherstrip cement. passed the judges scrutiny. good luck. mike

There is no S repro to my knowledge.

And the judges bought it?! Don't know your specialty, Doc, but you should have been a plastic surgeon!! (Litte nip here, little tuck there.)

If my little "pea brain" isn't failing me, I thing somebody reproduces the "S" within the diamond logos that you can glue/splice to your repro WS. Chuck

              Chuck,
Your mind is not failing you! Someone produces the "S", but for the life of me, I can not remember who. Jerry Cosler said that he just bought some a couple of weeks ago. Jerry, are you listening?

              Regards, John McGraw

Thanks, John for the sanity check. I thought I'd seen it too. Chuck

                  Re: No

The guy you are looking for is Paul Wozny. He has made a mold of an original diamond S and reproduces them so that you can either just stick them on your w/s or carefully cut out a spot and surgically place them into your w/s with black RTV. The deal is I am not sure he is doing them anymore. The last time I called him to inquire he said that he had turned the biz over to his daughter so that she coud make some money for college. Here is the last contact information that I gave Jerry Costler: 763-559-1641
email-paulwozny@mediaone.com. If anyone is able to contact him I would love to know if he is still doing these. I have tried to make my own from old w/s and have only been reasonably successful in reproducing a consistent product. BTW- if I remember correctly, he was charging in the area of $80 for six of these......a bit pricey but certainly less than the two sets of NOS w/s that I have in the garage. I figure that they are worth more in the bag than on my car. Jerry, were you successful in contacting PW?
