This guy claims he will sell you a 67 427/435 Roadster for $9000.00. He is in Greece. The phrase "A fool and his money will soon be parted" comes to mind thinking of anyone who thinks he can send $9000.00 and get this car. Just thought all of you might get a chuckle out of this one.
Re: Here is one from the "I Wish" Department
I hope you didn't respond to him or connect to him for more information. There is some thought that these guys are using the methods to connect to the Private Auction and Approved Buyer to obtain passwords to accounts so as to hijack another account and do the same thing again.
If you did, go change your passwords, all of them, right now.
Alsop, do a search on your user ID as seller and as bidder to be sure you are not doing any activity you don't know about.
If they grab your eBay password, they may have your PayPal cash. Far too many use the same pasword, a practice that is not recommended by eBay, but is unfortunately done anyway.
And many have PayPal set up to get money from their checking account, so it is gone, too.
We have a special checking account that feeds the electonic banking automatic withdrawal leeches and we only keep the amount in there that is needed at the time. It is not connected to our savings or regular checking account.
Rest asurred that I have had no contact with this guy. It was just posted to amuse and keep some of the "fools and thier money" from parting.
If that is possible.
You'd be surprised at how many do make contact, and from some things I've read, in the course of jumping through pages, they miss that they leave eBay and go to a copycat site that then retrieves those userids and passwords.
