    69 427 temp sender ??

are the corvette temp gauge sensors the same resistance as other 69 GM cars? i was comparing the original temp gauge sensor from my 427 to a new gauge sensor for a 69 camaro i had. the original sensor reads about 75-100 ohms more than the new one across the temperatures. is my old one bad? 495 ohms original to 394 ohms new at a little above room temp. i put them both in a cup of hot water and they tracked. just wondering if the corvette gauges were different. all of the camaro and chevelle gouges were the same.

    Dick-----

The temp senders used for 1969 Corvettes are funcionally identical to the senders used for all other 1969 to 1975 Chevrolet cars with temperature gauges. 1969 Corvettes used a pin terminal-type sender. I'm not sure if other 1969 Chevrolet cars originally used the pin or button-type units. However, if they were different in that respect, that was the only difference. Internally, they were the same.
