1966 Horsepower

Ok, I am a rookie here, be kind. I have own a 66 for about a month. Two questions.

1. What is the best publication to buy from the NCRS store to aid in my restoration?
2. The car is a NOM engine. What is the best way to tell if the car was orginaly a 300 or 350 horsepower car? I am told where the tach redlines is very helpful, but I can't find anything specifc.

Good to see another 66 owner. Don't worry, most of these guys are kind and they are extremely helpful and courteous to those of us who don't know near as much as we would like to. I have been a member for about 1 year and think this is the best support board in existence for any car make. Certainly best I have seen.

I think the 300 HP tach redline actually begins at 5300. The redzone is between 5300 and 5500.
