C2 Paint Shops

As the whole world knows I've had my '64 painted twice and ending in disaster each time.

There are two paint shops in the Tampa Bay area who are Corvette experienced and will do the paint by first removing all the prior coating and complete with either DuPont or PPG products.

Does anyone have knowledge of Ronnie Setser's Customs in Tampa or Classic Car Restoration in Tarpon Springs.

I can't believe that no one responded to your request for info on paint shops. The classic car shop in tarpon springs is quite capable (They restored a 53 and displayed it at carlysle). I also have a car to be repainted in Florida and was considering the place in Tarpon Springs. I would liked to have seen some responses. Maybe you should repost and call it second request and ask someone to step up with answers. The NCRS florida chapter is inactive and probably of no help.

I'm disappointed too but I thank you for your reply.

I visited Classic Car last week and, while the facility is the same as when they were preparing the '53, I believe the ownership changed. Thay seem knowledgeable and are interested in painting my car.

Ronnie Setser's in Tampa might be a better bet. Setser is a Corvette man and has a large complete shop.

Having had two bad paint jobs I was trying to get first-hand experience. Perhaps I'll try another post.
