Correct black paint

What is the correct color of black paint i.e. number, brand and all for the frame parts, radiator support, radiator fan and stuff like that.

I have seen Krylon semi gloss on the forum is that correct?

I have also heard of black satin, but don't know where to get it.

I used John Deere "BLITZ BLACK" for blackout. I used EASTWOOD Black for frames on the frame. I used some Rustoleum semigloss on the "A" arms... and some KRYLON someplace else.

As I understand it many shades/sheens of black were used by the various vendors so there will be variations.

For semi-flat black, #1613 Krylon, John Deere Blitx Black or Rustoleum Satin #7777. #1613 is tryed & true.

Krylon 1613 Way Flatter?

The last 3 cans of 1613 I've bought are much flatter than ever before.
Is nothing sacred?? Could Krylon have lost control of their process? Or worse, done this to us with malice of forethought?

Anyone else noticed this dramatic shift in reflectivity?

As far as spray cans go, I used to use Krylon semi-flat #1613. Then I found that plasti-kote ANTI-RUST ENAMEL, #361 SEMI GLOSS BLACK is closer to the original GM shade. More semi "gloss", than the krylon semi-"flat", as the name implies. Pep boys has it, works great, easy to apply.
