    4 post lifts

I'm going to purchase a 4 post lift. I'm looking at the Backyard Buddy and the Autolifters M80. There designs seem very similar on what I've seen on there web sites. The Autolifter is about $1200.00 cheaper. If you own either one of these lifts could post if you have had any problems with them or if you are happy with them. Thanks Mike

Very happy with my Autolifters. This is the second one I have owned. Get the jacking bridge and full set of drip pans.

I have had two M6 four post lifts for about 9 years. No complaints. They are manufactured right here in USA in their factory in Kansas. When I inquired about them from Autolifters they sent me a video of their operation. Recommended them to a friend and he bought one to put in his five car garage.

I have Aresco. Works well. I wish I had bought aluminum approach ramps (option) steel ramps are HEAVY!

            Hello

I have a Backyard Buddy and could not be happier. I would suggest to anyone making this purchase to try and improve ceiling height through better garage door rails or vaulting the ceiling like I did.

As you know, John and I have Double park lifts.

I think they are one of the nicest ones out there with regards to details and finish. Let me know if you need specifics.

                  Brian,

I've even rolled mine outside with a car on it. Not as hard as it would seem, and when a car isn't running it's far easier than trying to push the car on its own wheels.

Have 2 DoublePark lifts and couldn't be happier with both the product and the customer service/support. They even came out and moved my original one from my old residence to my new home with the delivery and set up of my second. Best all around value for the money.

I have a Stinger 4-post lift and it is excellent. Great customer service, knowledgable sales staff, lots of accessories, excellent fit and finish, easy to follow set-up instructions. They advertise in the Drive Line. Call and ask for Perry or Scott at 1-800-854-4850, you won't be sorry. Their website is www.stingerlifts.com.

                        Re: 4 post lifts

Mike - I have an Autolifters M6 for years, it has been great. I also bought an M80 as you are considering, it now has large ball bearings on all pulleys. The quality is great on both. The backyard buddy is a copy of the autolifters, since apparently autolifters didn't patent the design. Autolifters cost is less primarily since they don't advertise nearly as much from what I can tell, and they are never at the shows. They use enamel instead of powder coat...and they are built in the USA vs the Backyard Buddy I believe is imported. Autolifters uses Welded channel iron on the sides of the ramps, Backyard Buddy uses bent and formed diamond plate as I recall. I would highly recommend the Autolifters........Craig

                          Craig,

I'm also looking at an M80. I've got a 95 extended cab long bed chevy, do you believe the M80 is long enough to handle a truck of this size?

I'll do a little more research on double park, and see which I like the best between them and auto-lifters.
Thanks Guys For the information, Mike
