Correct plating for 79 heat stove

Can anyone advise me on the correct plating finish for the heat stove located on the left side exhaust manifold which feeds warm air to the air filter asm.

    79 choke stove plating finish

Sir, If you are referring to GM part number 367135, the plating appears to be Zinc on those that were sold over the counter. If however you are referring to the flat piece (GM 3946832) that mounts behind it on the inner side of the exhaust manifold, those were hot dip galvanized. Additionally they were covered with a sloppy application of some sticky oily material. I had a new 79, but did not note the finish of this and most other parts. I just drove that L82 4speed like heck, and pity the fellow who may ever restore it. I was a member back then, but this organization did not accept that vintage model at that time. Geoffrey
