'67 CORRECT SIGNAL AND HAZARD FLASHER

With regard to non-DOT, originals, are they identified by lack of a DOT marking on them?

Re: '67 CORRECT SIGNAL AND HAZARD FLASHER

Rob - I'm not exactly sure how to answer your question; but you are correct in that the original hazard and turn signal flashers used on the Corvette and in fact other cars did not have DOT markings on them. The rest of my answer has to do with configuration; because the "same part number " flashers used on '67s were also used on later year cars and in some cases the embossed lettering like on the Signal-Stat flashers became silk-screening and the metal cans went from an anodized colored can to a natural metal can. For the later production Tung-Sol flashers the plastic and metal covers had DOT embossed on the top, sometimes in very small letters. If you need more info on the specifics of the configurations used in '67, give me a shout. Pete
