    C-2 Powder Coating

My frame goes in for powder coating Thursday, then I begin to start the assembly process. (the tech said they bake it at 350 deg.)

Does any one know any reason that you could not powder coat an engine block and a set of heads?

Will engine heat affect a powder finish? Or might the finish inhibit proper engine heat transfer?

    Re: C-2 Powder Coating

I had my 1975 frame, a-arms, tie rods, anti-sway bars, strut rods, etc.. powder coated along with engine parts such as radiator frame, alternator brackets, power steering brackets, engine pulleys, intake manifold, steel valve covers, oil pan, etc. I have not had any of the items blister or dis color due to the heat. The heads and block were painted with engine paint. I do not know how the heads will react but if it did blister after it ran for a while it would be hard to repaint over the powder coating. I hope this helps you out. LB
