    56 vs 57 radio antenna

Is there a difference between the 56 and 57 radio antenna? I just bought what was said to be a '57 corvette antenna and I am beginning to wonder. My 56 looks just like the one in the AIM with the female threaded lead attachement that sticks out from the side. The one I just bought has the lead affixed to the mast with a factory black binding around where the female thread addapter is on the 56. The lead on this one is also approximately three feet long with the correct male plug on the end which I am sure is too short. Should'nt they both be the same design? Any idea what I do have? Thanks.

Re: 56 vs 57 radio antenna

The Antenna on my 57 looks like the one in the assembly manual. It has one long cable that goes from the radio to the lower mast. No 3 foot cable on the passenger car antennas so it must be an after market. Can you send me a pic ?
