66 L72 Fuel Pump Push Rod Plug

Curious if 1966 L72 427/425 blocks were shipped from Tonowanda engine plant with fuel pump push rod plug installed - if so - can I assume it was painted along with the block or was it not painted and installed at the assembly plant with no paint ?

According to the AIM, the plug was installed at St. Louis. Consequently, it should be unpainted.
