    C-1 Seat Bottom "dip"

    Experienced seat repair guys:
I have a 58K mile 62 fuelie that has one seat bottom with a split panel. (the front one, like they all do). If I throw a new vinyl cover on that, it won't change the factory "dip" in any way, will it?
It seems that it shouldn't, because the vinyl simple sits on the foam on top of the springs--but I don't want to start to get into it and get bad news.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Mike, Al Knoch puts the original "dip" back into the seat when they re-do the springs and upholstry. Just had my '58 re-done - great job.

Have them ADD tie downs around the dip area bead to the springs

        Mike,
The dip is in the foam and the center seat panel is glued to it. If you remove the original carefully you can reinstall it or a replacement and reglue the center so it will follow the contour of the foam. Regards Rich
