oil pressure guages in 1967's

What pound oil pressure guage did a 1967 427 390 HP and a 400 HP have in them. Looked at a non matching number's car with a 60 lb unit in it. Onwer claimed to have tracked it back to the owner in Texas who said it was a 400 HP car, but I thought the lower horse car's had 80 lb guages too. Thanks Larry

The only 67 Corvettes that would have had the 80 Lb guage would be the 435 HP 427 and the 40 or 50 remaining L88's. All others had the 60 Lb Ga.

The difference being solid lifter engines - 80#'s *NM*

Correct, but only for 67.....

There was a hydraulic lifter 427 that also used the 80# guage. Very confusing ordeal in the C2's.
