Part numbers and casting numbers

Does anyone have a good source for looking up Delco Remy items by part number and GM parts from casting numbers?

If you are talking about ONE or TWO sources that would provide the information, the answer is there isn't such an animal. Information has to come from a WHOLE BUNCH of different sources depending upon the particular part of interest. I have many references. However, I certainly don't have enough to identify ANY GM casting number or ANY Delco-Remy part number. Keep in mind that Delco Remy made parts for ALL GM cars and trucks PLUS many parts for vehicles of other manufacture for a LOT of years. As far as casting numbers go, Central Foundry Division made castings for every GM vehicle line. The combination of Delco part numbers and Central Foundry castings for decades equals a LOT of numbers.

The best listing for Delco Remy is the master service and parts manual that was published several years ago by D/R. I do not remember the exact name

If you have just a few numbers that you need converted, send them to me in email. My book only goes as far as 1971 so I can't help with anything newer.
